"Eau Claire County History, 1949" Why Our Community Is So Hilly Once Wisconsin was covered with water and the water kept on working away the mountains. There were great animals and plants int his community at this time. They were so large because it was so warm at this time and the animals and plants grew so fast. Then came the glacier from Canada. It was a great ice sheet that covered ¾ of Wisconsin. This big glacier killed most of the animals and the rest went south. Then whent he glacier melted it formed great rivers and lakes. The glacier formed hills and valleys and now it is called Wisconsin. The animals are smaller and the plants are to. By Robert Ingles |
