+++++ YOUNG, Leonard J. LEONARD J. YOUNG, 1st engineer, Empire Lumber Co., Eau Claire, came to Wisconsin in 1869, and located at Eau Claire, where he has been employed in present capacity since. He was born in Skowhegan, Me., Dec. 20, 1840. Was engaged, in capacity of engineer, for fifteen years on various Mississippi River steamboats; took the first steamer down the Red River to Hudson, in 1858. He was married at Minneapolis, in 1868, to Mary J. Searles, who was born in New York. They have four children - Clarence, Claude A., Herbert M. and Carrie M. |
