Workers at the Drummond
Meat
Packing Company. This company got its
start by
packing salt pork in barrels for logging camps back in 1865, was
officially established in 1873 and was incorporated in 1903 by the
Drummond Brothers. They
sold to the Zenith Packing Company in 1945 and in 1947 was sold to
Armour & Co. It ran under that name for many
years. The business is
now running under the name of Indianhead Food Service. One of the workers, Mary Woletz, is seated at the table, second from the right. If you know any of the other people pictured here, please contact Roxanne. Donated by Roxanne Munns |
